While MLB has yet to reach an agreement with players on return to play, the 2020 draft will go on – although it will look much different than in years past.
The COVID-19 pandemic means Wednesday’s draft has been cut down dramatically from 40 rounds to just five and only 160 total picks will be made.
When the draft gets underway, the Detroit Tigers will be on the clock with the first pick and you can keep it locked right here throughout the first round and Competitive Balance Round A for all the latest on who goes where. We’ll also be adding context to each first-round selection with an interesting tweet for each pick.
As you wait for the first round to get underway at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT, here is the order of the 37 selections that will be made Wednesday.
