30 New Pieces from & Other Stories, Zara & COS That You'll Mistake for Designer

It would impossible to count the number of times that I’ve been stopped in the street and asked where an item I was wearing was from and the answer has been high street. What usually follows is surprise, but after years of mixing affordable pieces with some savvy designer investment buys, I think I’ve mastered the art of high/low dressing in a way that makes sense. In all honesty, the quality of the high street’s offerings has improved so significantly over the years that I’m always confident in it’s ability to deliver accessible takes on runway pieces (helping me to elevate my wardrobe in the process), but none more so than & Other Stories, Zara and COS.

It’s been a particularly good year for Zara and COS after run of standout accessories and beautiful dresses, but now that we’re fully in the throes of a crisp and cold winter, it’s been their knitwear and coats that we’re stocking up on first in order to beat the cold. And, if you are looking for pieces perfect for the transition into spring, look no further than & Other Stories. Scouring their new-in reads like a who’s who of predictable bestsellers, from the chic separates to the leather accessories that look far more expensive than their high street price tag

So, to help you find all of the pieces that look like they’ve walked straight off the runway, I’ve taken the labour out of hunting through the new-in sections, and put together a handy little edit for your perusal. Should you be on your lunch break, scrolling of an evening or looking for something exciting to liven up your commute, these are 30 pieces from & Other Stories, Zara and COS that I think you’re love, and believe me when I say–no one will know that they’re high street.

Easily the most luxe looking trench I’ve seen on the high street in years. Did I mention you take remove the sleeves or the base to wear as three different coats?

From the puff sleeves to the ruching, this isn’t your average pinstripe shirt.

Wear with everything from jeans to midi dresses.

Put a modern spin on workwear by pairing this reconstructed waistcoat with jeans.

The corset and full skirt give this dress a couture silhouette.

There’s something about an oversized blazer that makes even a plain t-shirt feel office-ready.

Sorry skinnies, we’re all wearing wide leg trousers now, especially in glossy leather.

I can already imagine all of evenings, holidays, events and occasions that these sandals would be perfect for.

The darker the wash, the more luxe the denim looks.

This has been dangerously low to “out of stock” since it first landed.

An alternative to the viral Zara coat has landed, and in a new butterscotch colourway.

It’s beautiful from the front, but wait until you see the bow detail on the back.

The only accessory you need to make any outfit instantly triple in value.

A slinky LBD never goes out of style, just add the Pearl Bead Leaf Earrings and make an unforgettable entrance.

We’ve only got a handful of months left of boot season until next year, so celebrate them in style.

Sharp suiting made modern with a flattering cinced waist.

Now this is how you dress to impress.

Now tell me honestly, is this sculptural blouse not automatically cooler than a basic white shirt?

No one will believe that is from Zara.

This just so happens to combine two of the seasons biggest trends–leather and trench coats. Win, win.

Not sold on maxi coats? This elegant cropped jacket has all of the style and half the length.

Denim skirts are about to be everywhere this spring–you heard it here first.

No wardrobe is complete without a pair of trusty loafers.

What do the winter wardrobes of some of fashions most stylish all have in common? Slouchy cashmere knits of course.

Everything about this coat (and entire look) speaks quiet luxury.

A pop of colour that even the most minimalist dresser will appreciate.

The cropped perfect trouser to pair with loafers, Mary Janes, sandals, trainers, ankle boots…

Its back, but almost certainly not for long. Use this opportunity to get your hands on one of the high streets most coveted It bags.

I don’t know what I love more, the rich olive colour or neckline detail.

In need of an outfit in 5 mins or less? Try a blazer, oversized shirt and this ankle grazing jeans.
