January is a notoriously tough month to get through for many reasons– but the good news is you’ve made it. February is a mere 24-hours away, and we’re ready to put grey days behind us and hit our stride with 2022. The new month ahead means a fresh start in more ways than one, with the Autumn/Winter 22 fashion weeks happening imminently, and with it a whole influx of new street style inspiration; as well as in our day to day lives with the return to offices for a lot of us.
So, in case you’re in a similar mind frame to us and looking to start reinvigorating your wardrobe for the new year ahead, we’re here to bring you 30 exciting buys from Arket, & Other Stories and H&M. These three brands are particular favourites on the high street for finding more affordable pieces that always feel up to date and elevated. So we’ve combed their new-in collections to find the best items that can make a refreshing difference to your wardrobe— and not just for this season but in the long term too.
If you hadn’t noticed, it’s still freezing outside most days so there’s plenty of cosy layers involved below, from cheerful knits to new quilted coats. We can’t help at least *hoping* for the start of spring soon though, so we’ve also included lighter shacket layers and some great dresses that will work with roll necks and tights now, but will really come into their own when the mercury starts to rise in a few months time.
If you are heading back to the office, comfy tailoring is king at the moment so don’t miss H&M’s newest wide-leg trousers or the zingy new orange shade of Arket’s best-selling hopsack blazer— perfect with blue jeans or black trousers and a crisp white shirt underneath. Meanwhile, we’ll meet you at the check out for the brand’s expensive-looking leather crossbody which comes in so many fun and classic colours— possibly the best bag to come out of the high street since COS’s famous slouchy style.
Keep scrolling, then, and you’ll find inspiration for what to look out for in own wardrobe right now, as well as links to these new-in items if you’re in the market for some updates.
