32 Zara Pieces London Girls Are 100% Going to Buy

Remember when Carrie Bradshaw quipped that, when she was strapped for cash, she used to buy fashion magazines over food because she felt that they “fed her more”? Well, contrary to Bradshaw, nothing comes between this girl and a burrito, but I do understand her sentiment.

In 2019, I moved out of London after almost a decade spent in the capital. While there are certainly people, places, and—goes without saying—restaurants that I miss, the thing I miss the most is the fashion—specifically seeing what London girls are wearing. There’s nothing I loved more than, on the weekend, heading to sartorial hotspots to see what the coolest dressers in the capital were wearing. There’s just something so cool about the intrinsic London style that seems to sweep the city.

Call it nostalgic longing, but upon looking at Zara’s new-in section, I couldn’t help but think that the brand has nailed that London cool-girl aesthetic with its latest collection. Sure, it helps that some of the pieces were photographed on the streets of London, catapulting me back there in a fevered heartbeat. But regardless, Zara‘s fusion of relaxed tailoring, excellent separates, and clever use of bold colours when you least expect it is on the money.

For old times sake, I’ve rounded up an edit of the Zara pieces I can picture being everywhere when I next travel to London. Scroll on to see them.

This colour feels so 2022.

London women love a waistcoat still.

This dress and boot combo is close to perfection.

Speaking of perfect boots…

Cable knits are integral part of the British woman’s wardrobe, never mind Londoners.

This bright blazer will give your outfits a serious lift.

A coat that easily looks three times the price.

London girls wore Arket’s green shirt on mass last year, so this feels like a safe bet.

I see more outfits with ecru jeans in London than anywhere else.

Shoulder bags always look elevated.

A dress you can throw on with just about any shoe.

The quilted coat trend isn’t going anywhere.

These look so premium.

Don’t assume the checkerboard trend is over.

If I had a pound for every time I spotted a stylish person wearing loafers in London…

This taps into the Y2K trend some Londoners are embracing.

Easily one of the best pairs of faux leather trousers I’ve seen.

Call off the search—I’ve just found the perfect oversized blazer.

How cool is this suit?

Wear this with cargo trousers and heeled boots.

The ultimate outfit upgrader.

Baggy jeans are still all the rage.

Platforms were huge on the spring/summer 2022 runway, so you can bet they’ll be big in real life, too.

Another colour-block suit I can’t stop thinking about.

I own this leather blazer already, and I always get compliments when I wear it.

I see your oversized collars, and I raise you bow collars.

This entire outfit gets my vote.

Stripes + hoody = the perfect piece for layering under your coats.

London is all about less-is-more dresses.

Throw this on with loose jeans and loafers, and you’re good to go.

I didn’t think jeans like this existed on the high-street.
