5 Christmas Makeup Ideas That Are Quick, Super Pretty and Easy to Copy

Everyone likes to do things differently on Christmas Day. While my family and I tend to stay in our pyjamas and spend most of our time chilling on the sofa, my best friend loves to get dressed up and go out for a special meal. Whatever you choose to do is totally up to you, but if you’re looking for some fashion and beauty inspiration for the big day, then we have definitely got you covered. We’ve already rounded up our favourite sequin skirtsparty hairstyles and Christmas nail designs, and now we’re here to help with your festive makeup look.

Let’s face it, none of us want to spend hours getting ready on Christmas Day, instead we want to be enjoying time with our loved ones, so I’m all about quick and easy makeup looks that still have that festive touch. If that sounds like your thing, then you’re in luck, as I’ve rounded up some of the chicest Christmas makeup ideas I’ve been seeing everywhere this season that are super simple to recreate. From the latest trends to classic looks that will never go out of style, I’ve included something for everyone, so keep on scrolling to see my favourite makeup ideas that will make it look like you’ve put in so much more effort than you actually have. Now, time to put on that Christmas film, open a box of chocolates and pour myself a glass of bucks fizz…

If you’ve been on TikTok lately, then I’m sure you will have seen Hailey Bieber’s video creating a ‘sugar plum fairy’ makeup look. Since then, I’ve been seeing this pretty, super wearable look everywhere, and it’s perfect for the festive season.

All you need to recreate this makeup is a shimmery, pink blusher, a matching eyeshadow and a high-shine lip gloss. Simply apply the blusher to the cheeks and the bridge of the nose, then swipe on some eyeshadow and lipgloss and you are good to go.

This long-lasting cream eyeshadow features a rose gold sparkle that will give the most beautiful finish.

For that healthy glow, I like to opt for a cream blush, and this rosy shade from Sculpted by Aimee is going straight on my Christmas list.

Next up, you can’t go wrong with a red lip, and this year it’s all about a super glossy finish. The great thing about this makeup trend is that you can keep the rest of your look super minimal and let the lips do all the talking.

For a defined look, I recommend taking a slightly darker lip liner to outline the lips and then go in with a slightly lighter lipgloss.

How stunning is this red shade from Hourglass? The hydrating formula and high-shine finish tick all the boxes for me.

This lip pencil from Mac is my go-to for an ultra-defined look.

Icy makeup is trending at the moment, but if you don’t fancy doing the full look, then frosted eyeshadow is the easiest and quickest way to incorporate the trend into your makeup. Opt for icy blue and grey shades for a wintery finish.

Adding some winged liner and some natural-looking eyelashes will help to make your eyeshadow stand out even more.

This crystal-infused eyeshadow will give you that frosted look in seconds.

If you like more subtle eyelashes, then you need to know about these. The wispy lashes sit under the lash line to add natural-looking volume.

This year has been all about radiant, glowing complexions, and Christmas is no exception. If you like to keep your eyes and lips simple, then this is the perfect trend for you, as its all focused around your base.

In order to get that glowing look, I recommend using a hydrating, luminous primer before going in with foundation or tinted moisturiser and a cream highlighter. However, my top tip would be to finish everything off with a shimmering setting spray.

I love using these drops from Drunk Elephant before applying my makeup to illuminate my skin. You can even mix them in with your moisturiser to make applying them quick and easy.

Once my makeup is finished, I make sure to spray this product from Iconic London to give my complexion a shimmery finish.

Last but by no means least, say hello to ‘no makeup’ makeup. This look is great for those of you who like to keep things casual at Christmas. Whether you want to go totally makeup free or apply a little bit of tinted moisturiser and lip balm for a festive glow, you can tailor this trend to suit you.

Sofia Richie Grainge is so good at doing a full face of natural-looking makeup, and I love this more paired-back look.

This tinted serum from Rose Inc is perfect for those days when you don’t want to wear foundation but you still want to give your skin a boost.

Multi-use makeup sticks are ideal for minimal makeup days. This one from ILIA can be used on the cheeks and lips for a wash of colour.
