5 Colour Trends COS Is Backing This Winter

On my fortnightly mooch around my local COS store, I was pleasantly surprised. Not that I usually aren’t, as it’s definitely one of my most-loved high street stores, but I was pleased to see so much colour. After all, winter in renowned for favouring darker hues. As I walked around, I saw pops of purple that reminded me of ‘the purple one’ in a box of Quality Street (yes Xmas chocs are firmly on my mind), and then, I spotted a shade I really wasn’t expecting—lime green. Updating everything from cosy knitwear, midi dresses and bucket hats, I have to say, I’m quite the fan. And although I’ve fully embraced pink in all its glory this year, I glided right past these items in favour of the fresh new colours.

Don’t get me wrong, though, I’m also all for the more typical wintery vibe that comes with grey, camel, brown and of course, black. It’s only a few weeks ago Francesa Saffari made me want a camel suit after she wore a COS style on Instagram. And I’m obsessed with a cord suit (you’ll have to keep scrolling to see which colour it is) that I tried on in-store.

No matter your style, I bet you’ll be inspired to try out these 5 colours COS (and I are) are backing for the winter months.

Nope, I can’t quite believe this is high street either.

I’ll be updating my cashmere collection with this beauty.

Dip your toe into the trend with this update on the classic Breton.

Add these to a tailored grey or camel coat.

The quality of COS’ t-shirts are always superior.

This bag is a favourite among fashion editors and influencers.

I’m here for that mega turn-up.

A chic alternative to all the monochrome striped knits that are literally everywhere right now.

Keep those ears away from the frost.

I would wear with tall boots and a wool coat for now and sandals come spring.

Lime green is a surprising one for winter, but I’m a fan.

This will be a flash of colour underneath all of your favourite knits.

Love these vibrant shades together.

How fun is this bucket hat?

I would wear this with grey baggy jeans and chunky boots.

This looks even better in the flesh.

This feels very 90s.

I’ve tried the pink version of this suit in-store, but now I definitely want it in blue.

This colour works so well with silver jewellery (as you can see.)

As a party season alternative to the dress, I would just style this with jeans and sparkly heels.

Make your summer dresses work for winter by adding this cosy wrap cardi.

So very chic.

I love how COS has styles this slouchy dress.

Some of the best tailored trousers on the high street. Fact.

A knit skirt always works well with socks and loafers.
