As we round the corner into the final stretch of Fashion Month, I find it intriguing as always to dissect the different qualities each fashion capital brings to the table.
As the cool older sister of the quad, New York Fashion Week gave us structured tailoring, and reimagined classics. Keeping to the city’s roots, the there was a splattering of eccentricity, but overall the crowd gave us effortless styling inspiration in spades. London Fashion Week explored all styles as the city charmed us with trenches en-mass, chic studs and plenty of pleats.
Of the lot, Milan Fashion Week has once again affirmed it’s the city of more-is-more. The skirts are fuller, the bags bigger, the tailoring sharper and the leather… well, it’s everywhere.
From the country that gave us Versace , Gucci and Prada , our expectations were high and yet they were exceeded. Read on to discover my favourite street style trends from this Milan Fashion Week.

Style Notes: When I tell you that at Milan Fashion Week more equals more, this is what I mean. As the city continues to enjoy residual summer warmth, showgoers were wrapped from head-to-toe in leather ensembles. We spotted leather trench coats, a recurring theme this Fashion Month, chic leather shirts and plenty of leather bags up and down the Italian streets.
