As per their spotless sartorial reputation, the Parisians brought effervescent style to the French capital once again this Paris Fashion Week. Styling surprising new trends and faithful French classics, France’s capital was alight with inspired looks.

Some of the trends we spotted were new on our radar, whilst others have been bubbling up for seasons gone by, reaching new heights this season with the approval of the French fashion crowd.

Style Notes: Banana milk yellow has been creeping onto our radars recently. This playful alternative to beige or grey has become a fan favourite of the fashion set, brightening up autumn wardrobes with a fresh hint of warmth and colour. Styling well with sunset-tones, the buttery shade has affirmed itself as the colour of the season.

A cosy mohair jumper is a winter no-brainer.

This silky dress can be styled up with heels and down with chunky boots.

Style Notes: Whilst Londoners favoured mini skirts this fashion month, in Paris showgoers chose another way to show their skin. Bold cut-outs were spotted on the chests of France’s fashion set, some adorned with dramatic necklaces and others left bare.

Style Notes: At no point during the fashion weekend did were forget that we were in Paris. The city’s most stylish showed us exactly why the French have earnt their reputation as the worlds chicest population; styling effortless, playful and je ne sais quoi-cool looks all weekend.

Whilst the night sky was lit with dazzling street lights, the pavements were ablaze with shimmering show guests. Favouring metallic finishes and sequinned embellishments the French fashion crowd brought glistening glamour to the city’s streets.

Style Notes: This fashion week the French fashion set dipped their toe into winter dressing, opting for oversized black boots with dramatic, squared edges or slouching, relaxed folds.
