Unless you live somewhere unseasonably warm, the thing about winter is that you can’t just wear any fancy outfit. Bare legs, arms, or toes are usually not a great idea unless you like shivering. You may be able to throw on anything and go in the summer, but dressy winter outfits require a little more forethought (and layers).
I don’t know about you but I’m very fond of wearing jeans for fancy occasions in the winter, as they’re warm and they’re easy to style. But although they’re easy to style, that doesn’t mean I don’t want some new outfit ideas from time to time. That’s why I regularly scour Instagram for denim-outfit inspiration. My recent searches have been very fruitful and I pulled eight outfit ideas that show that jeans can be dressy, no matter what the wash or style may be. To make these outfits even more cold-weather friendly, all you need to do is throw an oversize coat on over them.
