Raptors’ Lowry on future with Toronto: ‘I don’t have an answer for you’

After a tough season in which the Toronto Raptors were forced to relocate to Tampa Bay, beset by injuries and struggled to find wins, impending free agent Kyle Lowry addressed the media Tuesday to discuss what his next steps look like.

Toronto’s all-time leader in three-pointers and assists said his decision will be based on his family, as well as the money and terms on the table, but didn’t have a direct “yes” or “no” answer to questions of his future in Toronto.

Lowry signed a one-year, $30-million contract with the Raptors last year, and the six-time NBA all-star is set to be a free agent in the off-season.

The 35-year-old did provide some clarity on his future, however, stating emphatically that this is far from the end of his NBA career.
