The Celebrity Winter Outfits We'll Be Copying in 2022

From Kaia Gerber and Alexa Chung to Zoë Kravitz and Rosie HW, the celeb crowd have been knocking it out of the park with their enviable winter outfit formulas as of late. Whether it’s rushing to an event or simply coming home from the school run, there’s plenty to be inspired by, whatever sartorial dilemma you’re facing this week.

Tracee Ellis Ross remains at the top of our celeb inspo list with yet another winning neutral suit and minimalist accessories combo, which we plan on copying this festive season. Alexa, meanwhile, gets smart-causal dressing down to a tee, with her white dress, knee-high boots and wool coat ensemble—just add heels to transition into nighttime. So many good outfits, so little time. Scroll down to see our full edit of celeb winter style inspo.

Style Notes: Tracee Ellis Ross is the epitome of easy elegance in a textured, wide-leg suit. We also love the addition of pared-back accessories.

Style Notes: Only Alexa could convince us to wear a summer dress in the colder months. Her secret? Knee-high boots and an oversized wool coat.

Style Notes: Actor-to-watch Anna Shaffer is our latest style obsession, and here she has our hearts racing in a Rejina Pyo co-ord.

Style Notes: This Stacey Dooley outfit is the perfect example of ‘less is more’. We particularly love her chunky cable knit jumper.

Style Notes: Yet further proof of head-to-toe colour dressing being a winning fashion move. Mindy Kaling looks radiant in this fuchsia pink three-piece.

Style Notes: All we can say is: maternity dressing goals. Boilersuit + raincoat + boots = winter outfit perfection.

Style Notes: Rosie HW has been delivering picture-perfect mirror selfies all year, but this simple pairing is probably our fave.

Style Notes: 2021 was the year that Emma Corrin (and her inimitable style) hit the headlines. We love the fun-knitted-vest-and-printed-trousers pairing in this snap.

Style Notes: One of our favourite models in one of 2021’s hottest brands? (Nensi Dojaka if you’re wondering). A thousand times yes.

Style Notes: Suede, fringed and oversized? Okay, this is literally my dream winter jacket. Good work Emma Roberts.

Style Notes: This feather-trim floral co-ord is just too damn cute. The perfect party piece.

Style Notes: Suki Waterhouse gives us a lesson in cold weather layering with her white shirt and padded leather blazer.

Style Notes: Kaia is so good at polished weekend dressing, and we plan on copying her clever straight-leg jeans, cable-knit jumper, Converse and leather jacket this weekend.

Style Notes: Rosie continues to keep us entertained with her lineup of minimal, primarily Bottega-laden winter outfits. Our favourite, however, has to be this butter yellow coat.

Style Notes: EmRata shows us how to perfect off-duty model style. Her solution? Jeans, oversized blazer and heeled boots, of course

Style Notes: Awkwafina makes a very good case for colourful suiting for 2022. When spring hits, we’ll be throwing on a two-piece in a bright hue and adding neutral accessories.

Style Notes: This is pretty much all we want to wear for the duration of January. We like how Hailey has elevated her casual cardi-and-jeans getup with heels and a ladylike bag.

Style Notes: Only VB can make a black suit look this chic. Take off the brooch and it’s work-ready, add heels and it’s the cool-girl’s alternative to a cocktail dress.

Style Notes: Neon and neutral is the unexpected pairing that is going to be everywhere in 2022. Zoë Kravitz looks every inch the It girl with her suede jacket and crop-top ensemble.

Style Notes: Our inner vintage nerd is getting all excited over this ’70s-inspired look. The patent brown trench and snakeskin boots are the perfect way to elevate a white shirt and jeans.

Style Notes: The search is off—we’ve found the perfect winter coat. Unexpectedly, it’s Hailey Bieber who led us to it. We love how she’s kept it simple with a pair of white jeans and colour-match jumper.

Style Notes: This is a classic VB look: An immaculately tailored suit, don’t-mess-with-me-sunnies and a hint of fashion-forward frivolity (see her pink ruffle-neck blouse).

Style Notes: Being all kinds of Gucci-tastic, Tracee Ellis Ross combines streetwear with smart tailoring to great effect.

Style Notes: Now that’s one heck of a chic combination. Swap sandals to boots IRL and you too could look as sophisticated as Natalie Portman.

Style Notes: Here’s a hot tip direct from Suki Waterhouse, on what to wear on a night out when its cold. Choose a cosy, statement coat (hers has both brocade velvet fabric and statement animal-print cuffs and collar), longer-length trousers like satin culottes that you can just about dare to wear with bare ankles and court shoes. Clever.

Style Notes: Winter is the time to play with textures and model Grace Bol has ticked so many off with this seemingly simple ensemble: velvet, ribbed knitwear and patent. Nice.

Style Notes: This outfit is simply snake-print joy. Victoria Secret model Cheyenne Maya-Carty totally pulls it off by styling her look with a simple white tee and then adding a satisfying colour-clashing pair of red boots.

Style Notes: Sometimes it’s just about having confidence to throw on a winter coat over your favourite summer pieces. Cue Dree Hemingway for further inspiration.

Style Notes: Emma Roberts is the embodiment of how we want to look this season with her checked two-piece from Kitri and retro accessories. Note how the trousers are just the right amount of tailored to offer a counterbalance to the loose fit of the jacket.

Style Notes: Belted coats are essential for keeping the heat in. Wear yours with a button-up blouse, just like model Adwoa.
