It was a familiar sight for Mike Smith in Game 1 of the Western Conference final.
The Edmonton Oilers goaltender was pulled in the series opener after allowing six goals on 25 shots including three in the early part of the second period. Smith was replaced by Mikko Koskinen who is making his third appearance of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
This is the second time Smith has been given the hook in the post-season after allowing three goals in the first six minutes of Game 1 against the Calgary Flames in Round 2.
