Lightning beat Rangers in East Final, will face Avalanche for Stanley Cup

The Tampa Bay Lightning have advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the third year in a row.

The Lightning beat the New York Rangers 2-1 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final on Saturday, taking the series after winning four games in a row.

Steven Stamkos scored the lone goal for Tampa.

The two-time defending Cup champion Lightning will face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final.

Game 1 is Wednesday night in Denver. Watch it on Sportsnet at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
