Canada’s Brooke Henderson has won the ShopRite LPGA Classic, securing her 11th LPGA Tour victory.
The 24-year-old entered the final round tied for ninth at 5 under, before going 7 under after the first 18 holes on Sunday to finish tied for first with American Lindsay Weaver-Wright. The Smiths Falls, Ont., native then defeated Weaver-Wright with an eagle in the playoff to secure the title.
It’s Henderson’s first victory in 2022, and first since winning the Hugel-Air Premia LA Open in April 2021.
