The Cult Brand Zendaya and Hailey Bieber Are Obsessed With

For the best part of a decade there has been a brand gaining steady momentum, garnerning a cult following, and culminating in a very star–studded couple of years that have lead to its meteoritic success. Although you will have almost certainly seen (and loved) the cut–out dresses and stylish separates favoured by some our favourite fashionable women, it might only be now that you are hearing the name Christopher Esber.

Although the designer has been dominating Fashion Week in his native Australia since the 2010s, it was an endorsement from red carpet darling Zendaya that brought his look to the mainstream, and it didn’t take long for a whole host of celebrities to follow.

Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Katie Holmes and Solange Knowles all count themselves as fans of the Esber’s instantly recognisable take on deconstructed ruching and draping, with subtle sensuality becoming the brands signature calling card. Eventually landing on Net-A-Porter in 2020 and catering to a new, wider customer base, Christopher Esber is now in the wardrobes of it–girls everywhere and is a reoccurring feature in our Instagram scrolling sessions.

Take note dress fans and tailoring aficionados, as we have a feeling you’ll be seeing even more of Esber’s brand of relaxed elegance this summer, as his brand of sweeping maxis and floaty shirts can easily be imagined at sunsets parties, dinners and weddings in sunnier climes.

While we anxiously await the first preview of the autumn winter collection to see what Christopher does next, keep scrolling to see our favourite recent Christopher Esber looks from celebs and influencers alike, and exactly where you can shop some of the best bits from the current collection.

This outfit proves why tangerine orange is taking over this summer.

This look was also the second time Dua Lipa chose  Christopher Esber LBDs. (That’s long black dresses).

The classic white, cotton shirt, with an extra point of interest of course.

A bikini-meets-maxi might just be the ideal holiday dress.

Be sure to zoom in on the barbell details, as this swimsuit is a work of art.

A feather–light chiffon dress that doubles up as a cover–up.

The clue is in the name, these crystal embellished hoops are actually designed to be worn backwards–a reminder to expect the unexpected from Esber.

Theres practical swim offerings too, so you needn’t worry about diving into the pool.

Suddenly we want to invest in more citrus yellow.

It’s true, the shoes are as much of a conversation starter as the ready–to–wear.

A classic Esber silhouette, pair the tie-waist midi with crop tops to show the intricate design detail.

A fine enough knit to wear in summer, and layer up for autumn too.

Chunky hoops are always popular, and that’s not about to change any time soon, so stay ahead of the crowd with the gem studded reverse style.

Typically, you’ll see a trend dominate for one or two seasons, but the cut–out still reigns supreme for the rest of 2022.

The 90s slip dress brought up to date.

There is something about this shade of cherry red that we can’t stop thinking about.

A lesson in sculptural design made wearable.
