9 Instagram Outfits I Plan on Re-Creating This Month

Dressing for autumn is one of our favourite sartorial endeavours. Cosy knitwear, leather separates and chic boots are things we’ve been looking forward to wearing for the past few months. So now that October is upon us, it’s high time we started assembling the outfits we’ll wear for the season ahead. After trawling through the Instagram accounts of our favourite influencers, we managed to come up with nine key looks that are ideal for any sort of weather October might throw at us.

From the ultimate cool coat needed for chilly mornings to the summer dress you can wear right through until spring, there are plenty of outfit ideas you’ll want to copy immediately. Without further ado, this is what to wear in October.

Style Notes: The last days of bare-leg season are upon us, so make the most of them by pairing a miniskirt with a fluffy knit. Simply add tights when you can’t withstand the chill any longer.

Style Notes: Shearling-trim jackets are—some would say—imperative when temperatures drop. Handily, Grece Ghanem has found the most on-trend way to wear them: with checked trousers and chunky boots.

Style Notes: Wide-leg trousers were the It buy of summer, so carry them with you into the new season by pairing them with a roll-neck knit and a chic coat. If in doubt, simply follow Abi Omole’s flawless lead.

Style Notes: Jeans might be the first thing you reach for at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you need to completely forgo skirts. Instead, take cues from Sylvie Mus and pair a denim midi with a jean shirt and finish with white boots.

Style Notes: Shackets have been on the rise for a few seasons now. This autumn, we’ll be wearing ours like Aïda Sané of Basics Touch did by pairing one alongside straight-leg jeans and neutral heels.

Style Notes: One of the best bits about getting dressed for autumn is the gorgeous texture pairings you can create within your look. Corduroy and silk are so premium-looking when worn together.

Style Notes: There’s nothing like wearing a cosy knit on a cool October day. This season, we’re elevating the typical jumper dress look with a mini style paired with a gilet and knee boots.

Style Notes: Your floral dresses needn’t be relegated to the back of your wardrobe until spring. At this time of year, we advise wearing them with slouchy wool blazers and closed-toe shoes.

Style Notes: Blouses can often feel threadbare once the autumn weather sets in. Make yours work for the lower temperatures by layering a thin roll-neck underneath it.
