The last stretch of Fashion Month is officially upon us. It all began in New York, where the fashion set took to the sidewalks in bright bold shades, almost in celebration of the new season. London was a little different this year, but we were still graced with the typical eclecticism and slick tailoring that has become synonymous with the city. Next, Milan offered up the glamour and drama, alongside some exciting accessories trends. And now, we’re in Paris to round off the Fashion Month circuit.
As the final, and longest stint in our tour of fashion cities, Paris remains the most anticipated of all. With the backdrop of renowned brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior and Chanel presenting their spring/summer 2023 collections, the fashion set bring their best looks to France’s capital. So far, leather is taking centre stage, whether in skirt, blazer or trouser form. Staple trench coats have returned for damp days in Paris, albeit it with a twist, and there’s plenty tonal tailoring for the minimalists. In terms of footwear, there’s a tie for first place between sleek neutral coloured knee high boots, and bold coloured heels—both of which we intend on embracing.

We’ve been infatuated with the French-Girl style for some time now for its effortless ease and timeless nature. For Fashion Week, the fashion set took the humble trench coat to new heights with interesting cut outs, double lapels, and bold panelling, in some interesting fabrications—and all just in time for autumn.
A few seasons ago, it seemed that every trousers be it jeans or tailored, had a split hem. Now, the 2022 revival is a sleeker and slimmer fit. The split works particularly well to focus attention on your footwear, and we’ve found that flats, or pumps work best.

As we enter the cooler months, certain fabrics take centre stage. Notably, leather and faux leather were seen in almost every form on the Paris streets on blazers, trench coats, skirts and trousers. The leather midi skirt is easy to integrate into any wardrobe, and adds an elevated feel to any look.
It should come as no surprise that the fashion crowd has reached for boots now that autumn is here. Short, knee-high, and thigh-high iterations are being pulled out of wardrobes worldwide in preparation for the cooler months. But lighter cream and white colourways were most prominent on the Paris streets, particularly in knee-high form.
This utilitarian trouser has risen through the fashion ranks in recent months, and Paris Fashion Week has shown it’s here to stay. Now, these aren’t your unflattering noughties cargo pants. The reissued style can be found in tailored form, denim silhouettes and first, and foremost, oversized cuts.
This print started gaining momentum over the summer season, and has retained its upward trajectory through autumn. Monochromatic versions keep the modern feel, and add impact to any look.

The hardware and shape are reissued features from the house’s 00’s ‘Classic City’ line, and the 2022 reboot can be seen everywhere at Fashion Week.
