All Our Editors Agree: These Are the Best M&S Pieces to Buy for 2023

It’s hard to imagine what the Great British high street would be like without Marks & Spencer; the brand many of us have come to rely upon for its elite lingerie and Percy Pigs. As impressive as its underwear and food departments may be, the category I believe M&S nails like no other is never-date fashion. I consider myself to be something of a Marks & Spencer shopping expert; from my formative years as an assistant being asked to run to the nearest store to stock up on tights and vests for styling kits, to attending store appointments to pull products for my own shoots, I know the blueprint of just about every London M&S store like the back of my hand. Needless to say, I am very familiar with what makes a great Marks & Spencer fashion find, which certainly comes in handy here at Who What Wear.

Francesca Saffari wears a stripe half-zip knit and faux leather trousers, both from Marks & Spencer.

You love M&S—I know this because some of my most-read articles centre on this theme. So, I thought it would be fun for us to take a look at the best Marks & Spencer pieces for 2023 together. Just glancing at its new-in section and I can already spot key wardrobe refreshes and excellent new-season updates that are worth highlighting. From cosy knits and leather separates to sleek-looking boots and jewellery to elevate, scroll on to see my edit of the best Marks & Spencer pieces for 2023.

You can never go wrong with cable knits.

This jacket is a M&S best-seller and looks so much more expensive than its price-tag.

This silhouette feels very new for M&S.

Quilted outerwear is still very much a thing for 2023.

The perfect way to finish any look.

Francesca’s jumper now comes in an iteration where black is the dominant colour.

Tailored tracksuit bottoms are a major trouser trend for 2023.

Just add to your favourite dress or skirt.

Borg textures present a fresh textile to try.

A premium-looking shade of red.

These leather trousers come in an extended size range.

After Bottega Veneta sent Kate Moss down the runway in a flannel shirt, you better believe they’re in for 2023.

Someone got the loose-fit denim memo for 2023.

Plissé pleats crop up in the wardrobes of all my favourite influencers.

These also come in a cool shade of khaki green.

Silver jewellery is very much a thing right now—great news if you’ve remained loyal to it over the years.

In my opinion, this is the perfect everyday top.

Seriously, no one does leather on the high street quite like M&S.

Breton-stripe tops are part of my daily uniform, and this style is near perfect.

These also come in classic black.

Give your loafers an overhaul with spring-friendly tan.

Such an easy throw-on.

These are a great starting point if you’re yet to invest in the wide-leg trouser trend.

I know this could-be-designer bag is going to fly.
