M&S’s Shoes Are Better Than Ever Right Now—These 3 Pairs Prove It

Here at Who What Wear UK, we’ve long been fans of Marks & Spencer’s shoe collection. Our chat channels often light up with discussions of new in styles, or old favourites that we’ve treasured for years. So when I stumbled across three expensive-looking shoes that hit all the trends right now, I was pretty chuffed. When I realised they were from M&S, I was elated. And naturally, I came here to share them with you.

There’s a lot to love about M&S, from their affordable yet luxurious cashmere jumpers, to scene-stealing party dresses, and finally all your lingerie needs. But recently, their shoe department has been particularly on point, and these three styles are set to be a favourite amongst fashion girls. Marks & Spencer’s has finessed creating expensive-looking styles at purse-friendly prices, and with these three styles set to continue trending in 2023, there’s no time like the present to update your shoedrobe.

Without further ado, here are the three M&S shoes us fashion girls can’t get enough of.

I had planned to ramp up to this pair as they are such a gem, but when I realised they had just been restocked in all sizes I had to put them first. With the revival of ballet flats as the shoe to be seen in, it’s no surprise that these Miu Miu-esque flats flew off the shelves at their first release. Thankfully, the sartorial Gods have given us a rare second chance. The striking pointed toe adds a touch of elegance whilst the buckle detailing firmly grounds this pair. I think we will spot these peeking out under tailored trousers, or paired with socks and mini skirts for a retro feel. However styled, we’re sure these will be a double sell out.

I plan to snap these up before they’re gone (again).

Next up, the platform Mary Jane. We’ve spotted plenty of stylish people wearing these chunky heels over the party season, and as a feature of the Spring/Summer 2023 shows, we’re sure this style will be sticking around for the rest of the year. This bold shoe is much more versatile than it seems, as they pair harmoniously with everything from jeans to miniskirts, dresses to tailored trousers. Marks & Spencer’s pair features a double strap detail and comes in both black and cream colourways. The platform sole means that despite the bold look, the actual heel isn’t terribly high, making them comfortable enough for dancing all night long. The hard part is choosing which colour to go for.

Cream always looks so elevated.

We often refer to winter as boot season, but thanks to the unpredictable weather we have, boots are pretty much a year-round staple. That being said, not all boots are created equal, and this suede pair are particularly chic. The suede fabrication adds an expensive feel to this pair, and the contrast sole in a chunky flatform style feels extremely contemporary. Alongside the black suede pair, M&S has offered up a sleek white leather pair that feels equally as elevated. All in all, we don’t think these will stick around for long.

The textured leather feels incredibly premium.

It might feel like days of open-toe shoes are a far off dream, but you can never be too prepared. Whether you plan to wear these on nights out now, or save them for warmer days, these sleek strappy heels will serve your wardrobe for years to come. From dresses to jeans and even tailoring, this style is much loved by fashion girls for its versatility. Though feeling timeless, the square toe adds a modern feel and the strap detailing adds a fresh touch. Coming in a classic black as well as a bright white and various colours, this is a pair you’ll want to snap up before they’re gone.

You can’t go wrong with a pair of chunky lace up boots.

Though open-toe days may feel a long way off, this pair will live in your wardrobe for years.

The chunky heel will add extra stability and comfort.

This pink pair really caught my eye.

This pair feels gleefully retro. I’m sold.

The black version is sure to fly.

Bring the drama with these metallic platforms.

This elegant pair have a timeless feel, with a modern feeling square toe.

We come back to trusty loafers season after season.

The subtle square toe puts these ballet flats high on my wish list.

Up next, I Tried on M&S’s Best-Selling Jeans and I’m Officially a Convert.
