Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield speaks to the media for the first time since suffering a season-ending injury to his right shoulder.
Caufield, 22, was having a stellar season for the Canadiens, on pace to score more than 50 goals. His season ended, however, after the team shut him down before last Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs to have surgery on an injury he had been playing with for “a while.”
Caufield, the Canadiens’ first-round pick, 15th overall, in 2019, has 26 goals and 10 assists for 36 points in 46 games this season.
