The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have acquired Canadian linebacker Jordan Williams and swapped numerous draft picks in a significant trade with the Toronto Argonauts on Monday, the CFL teams announced.
Williams, the CFL’s rookie of the year in 2021 with the B.C. Lions, goes to Hamilton along with a 2024 first-round pick in the draft (seventh overall), a second-round pick (16th overall), a fourth-round pick (36th overall) and a 2025 conditional fourth-round pick.
The Argos move up two spots this year in the draft by getting a first-round pick (fifth overall), two third-round picks (24th and 25th overall) and a 2025 conditional third-round pick.
The Argos acquired Williams last February in a deal with the Lions.
B.C. picked Williams first overall in the 2020 CFL Draft.
