5 Simple Yet Chic 10-Minute Outfits That Will See Me Through 2024

Having finally made it through a seemingly endless January, I’ve come to the realisation that 2024 is going to be a busy year. I’ve got things to do! People to see! Resolutions to see through! And dare I say it, I’m kind of excited for what is in store. But this has also led me to realisation number two—with all this busyness coming up, I really don’t have time to be stressing over complicated outfits.

Don’t get me wrong, I find real joy in the routine of getting dressed. Putting together a really great outfit always gives a much-appreciated endorphin rush. But I want to be freed from the anxiety of finding the perfect combination of pieces to create intricate, impressive, but frustratingly time-consuming looks. So to set myself up from success, I’ve turned to my trusty Instagram feed to get some inspiration for five reliably stylish yet completely unfussy everyday looks.

Thankfully, I don’t seem to be the only one embracing the beauty of simplicity. After all, minimalism is one of today’s most coveted aesthetics. The other good news is that all these uncomplicated outfits are largely based around timeless wardrobe staples that, when styled the right way, look both polished and effortless—and that’s exactly what I’m going for. Scroll on to see the five easy outfits I’ll be recreating this year.

Style Notes: Corduroy trousers are undoubtedly back, and Brittany’s outfit is a perfect example of how to style them for the final frosty days. I particularly love how the loafers add just the right amount of polish to balance out the oversized knit—heeled boots or ballet flats would work equally well.

Is there anything more luxurious than a cashmere turtleneck?

These super soft cords are cut in the perfect silhouette.

The beige loafers are a great way to lift this otherwise all-black look.

Style Notes: Winter whites always look so sophisticated, especially when sharply contrasted with black accessories. This look would work particularly well on those sporadically sunny February days.

This is the white t-shirt so many of our editors swear by.

I’m such a fan of jeans that give you both the cinched waist and the relaxed fit around the legs.

A coat with all the cosy softness of a cardigan? I’m sold.

So many influencers own these exact boots.

Style Notes: For the days when you need something a little smarter than jeans, tailored trousers are the ideal option. These versatile trousers can be styled to suit almost any occassion, and I love how this look could easily take you from the office to after-work plans.

This colour would work with so many different outfits.

When it comes to relaxed tailoring, The Frankie Shop is my go-to.

As @modedamour proves, black and brown really do go together.

Loafers aren’t going anywhere in 2024.

Style Notes: Samantha’s look has me dreaming of spring days to come. In the meantime, make this look cold weather-proof with a trench coat or belted wool style.

Another option for the trust white t-shirt.

A truly timeless layering piece.

These jeans have such a cool shape.

A more affordable alternative to Samantha’s Tabi’s.

Style Notes: All my favourite basics in one effortlessly stylish look. A blazer really is one of the most handy pieces you can own, adding a refined touch to even the simplest outfit.

As an owner of this bodysuit, I can attest that it is seriously the best one I’ve ever worn. The seamless, figure-hugging silhouette makes it the ideal base layer for so many looks.

Toteme denim is just so classic.

Wear with dresses, skirts, jeans—everything.

The boots on every fashion lover’s wish list.
