The Edmonton Oilers are making another lineup change for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday.
Forward Sam Carrick is in the lineup for Game 2 while veteran Corey Perry will sit after seeing just 8:45 of ice time in Game 1.
Carrick last played in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final when the Oilers defeated the Dallas Stars 3-1. In nine games this post-season, Carrick has one assist and has averaged 9:26 time on ice per game.
Perry, 39, was a healthy scratch for the first three games of the Western Conference Final before returning to the lineup for Game 4. In Game 1 of the Cup Final, Perry took an interference penalty in the third period that hurt the Oilers’ chances to make a comeback.
Carrick is not the only lineup change the Oilers are making for Game 2, as head coach Kris Knoblauch announced earlier Monday that defenceman Vincent Desharnais would replace Cody Ceci on the back end.
Desharnais is expected to play on a pairing with Darnell Nurse.
