The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading back to the Fall Classic.
Tommy Edman led the charge from the Dodgers’ cleanup spot to pace the NL West champs to a 10-5 win over the New York Mets, punching their ticket to the World Series.
After the Mets opened Game 6 with a first-inning run, the Dodgers immediately answered with a two-run double from Edman for the first lead change of this NLCS.
From there, Los Angeles continued to add to their lead with two-run homers from Edman and Will Smith in the third inning and an RBI single from Shohei Ohtani in the sixth.
The Mets were able to push back and put some pressure on Dodgers pitchers during a bullpen game, with Mark Vientos continuing his post-season run with a two-run shot of his own in the fourth.
Los Angeles used seven different pitchers to cover the nine innings.
The win will send the Dodgers into a World Series matchup against the AL-champion New York Yankees. It is L.A.’s first NL pennant since 2020 and 26th overall.
