NFL Week 13 Pick ‘Em: Can Ravens slow down Eagles’ Barkley?

As we approach Week 13 of the NFL season, the team with the best Super Bowl odds plays on Thanksgiving Day. That team is the Detroit Lions, who are coming off a 24-6 road win over the Indianapolis Colts.

As always, we have three games on Thanksgiving Day, including the Lions hosting the Chicago Bears.

Below, you’ll see my Week 13 online football betting picks against the spread.

Thursday’s results
Lions 23, Bears 20
Cowboys 27, Giants 20
Packers 30, Dolphins 17

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Raiders QB Gardner Minshew is out of the season with a broken collarbone.

Now, their defence, which has allowed 10 passing touchdowns over the last three games, faces a Chiefs offence with QB Patrick Mahomes coming off a three-touchdown Week 12 performance.

It’s looking like Aidan O’Connell will get the nod over Desmond Ridder to start at QB for Raiders, but I’m taking the Chiefs -13 regardless of who lines up under center for Las Vegas.

PICK: Chiefs -13 (-110)

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

The Jaguars are coming off a bye, but in two starts with Mac Jones at QB, they’ve put up 13 points.

The Texans blew it last week against the Titans, but I expect their offence to rebound well against a team allowing 288 passing yards and more than two passing touchdowns per game.

PICK: Texans -5.5 (-110)

Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots

The Patriots performed poorly in Week 12 against the Dolphins, but the Colts were even worse at home against the Lions.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson completed just 39.3 per cent of his passes. Richardson did have 61 yards rushing, but the Patriots have yet to surrender 20 yards rushing to QB in a game this season.

I like New England at home here.

PICK: Patriots +2.5 (+100)

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Chargers put up 23 in a losing effort to the Ravens, and while QB Justin Herbert was left out of the passing touchdown column, he should rebound here.

The Falcons have allowed multiple touchdown passes in seven straight games.

When kept clean in the pocket, Herbert completes 67.1 per cent of his passes for 1,909 yards, 10 touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

The Falcons have only 10 sacks this season, the least in the league.

PICK: Chargers -1 (-120)

Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Jets

The Jets have only two interceptions all season, but they face Seahawks QB Geno Smith, who leads the league in interceptions. He also leads the league in passing yards, but the Jets allow less than 200 per game.

Meanwhile, Jets QB Aaron Rodgers has stayed out of the interception column over the last four games.

PICK: Jets +1.5 (-110)

Tennessee Titans vs. Washington Commanders

While it hasn’t resulted in many wins until last week, Titans QB Wil Levis has played quite well recently. Over two of the last three games, his yards per attempt has been 9.35 yards or higher. He’s also thrown five touchdowns.

The Commanders have allowed five touchdown passes over the last three games.

I’ll take the points with Levis bombing the ball downfield.

PICK: Titans +5.5 (-105)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Steelers lost on Thursday Night Football to the Cleveland Browns as the Bengals come off a bye week.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow has been sensational this season, leading the league in passing touchdowns (27) and is seven yards behind the lead in passing yards (3,028). He’ll crack through this Steelers defence, cover, and win at home.

PICK: Bengals -2.5  (-120)

Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings allowed 27 points last week. They held teams to 11 points per outing in the three games prior. The Vikings give up 265 passing yards and 1.55 touchdowns per game, but I’m not sure Murray can take advantage. He’s had one passing touchdown or less in nine of 11 games this season.

Against the run, the Vikings hold RBs to 3.74 yards per carry and have surrendered just four rushing scores.

PICK: Vikings -4 (-110)

New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams allowed 481 yards of offence to the Philadelphia Eagles and 37 points. Of the 481 yards, 314 came on the ground. The Saints have a top-10 rushing offence, averaging 130.7 yards per game.

As for their defence, they allow less than one passing touchdown per game. In a close game, I’ll take the points with the Saints at home coming off a bye week.

PICK: Saints +2.5 (-115)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers put up a good fight against the Chiefs, but in this game, they take on a much better offence with the Buccaneers coming to town.

Tampa Bay is a top-10 rushing offence and is inside the top seven in passing. QB Baker Mayfield is completing 71.4 per cent of his throws and hasn’t thrown an interception over the last three games.

I’m not ready to take the Panthers after one good performance.

PICK: Buccaneers -6 (-110)

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens

The two best rushing offences are set to square off. However, both will go up against defences that are each top seven in rushing yards allowed.

The Eagles’ pass defence gives them the upper hand. They’re second in passing yards allowed per game, allowing just about 197. The Ravens allow close to 300 passing yards per game and also need to try to stop Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who’s second in the league in rushing scores (11).

PICK: Eagles +3 (-115)

San Francisco 49ers vs. Buffalo Bills

A big part of analyzing this game is whether or not 49ers QB Brock Purdy will play. If he doesn’t, I see no way the 49ers cover on the road.

With Brandon Allen under center, he completed 17 of 29 passes for 199 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. They scored 10 points, and the Bills are at home coming off a bye.

If Purdy is out, take the Bills.

PICK: Bills -7 (-110)

Denver Broncos vs. Cleveland Browns

Broncos QB Bo Nix didn’t have the best completion percentage at 59.5 last week, but he still had 273 passing yards and two touchdowns.

The Broncos defence has allowed two passing touchdowns and two interceptions over the past three games. Browns QB Jameis Winston has three touchdowns and four interceptions over his last three games.

I like the Broncos at home.

PICK: Broncos -5.5 (-110)
