
The Washington Capitals beat the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 in Game 4 to move one win away from advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Andrew Mangiapane played hero for his side, scoring the game-winner late in the third period with the score tied 2-2.
Dylan Strome opened the scoring for Washington, with Brandon Duhaime adding two goals, including an empty-netter in the game’s final minutes.
Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield scored for Montreal.
The Capitals now lead the series 3-1.
Game 5 is set for 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Capital One Arena.
