Nylander’s three points helps Maple Leafs extend Canucks’ skid

Things just keep going from bad to worse for the Vancouver Canucks.

The Toronto Maple Leafs handed them their sixth consecutive loss with a 5-0 win on Saturday night.

William Nylander had a goal and two assists, while Matias Maccelli, Max Domi, John Tavares and Nic Robertson also scored for the Maple Leafs. Joseph Woll stopped all 29 shots he faced.

Meanwhile, starting Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko was pulled for the second period after allowing three goals on six shots. He was replaced by Kevin Lankinen, who allowed two goals in the final 40 minutes.

More to come.
