Canucks skid reaches nine games with loss to Blue Jackets

The Vancouver Canucks have hit a new low this season.

With a 4-1 loss on Thursday to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Canucks’ losing streak officially hit nine games, during which they’ve been out-scored 37-17.

Port Moody, B.C., native Kent Johnson had a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets, while Charlie Coyle, Kirill Marchenko and Zach Werenski also scored for Columbus.

Brock Boeser potted the Canucks’ lone goal, his first in 22 games, on the power play.

The Canucks have yet to win a game in 2026.

They head back to Vancouver, where they have a chance to right the ship with an eight-game homestand.

More to come.
