Canada improves to 2-0 in Olympic mixed doubles curling with win over Norway

Canada is making an early statement at the Olympic mixed doubles curling competition.

Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant improved to 2-0 with a 6-3 win over Norway’s Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten on Thursday at Milano Cortina 2026.

Norway is considered one of the top teams at the 10-team event, but has now started the tournament 0-3. Skaslien and Nedregotten won silver at the 2022 Olympics and bronze at the 2018 Winter Games.

Canada never trailed against Norway, stealing one in the first end before going up 3-1 in the third on a great raise takeout by Peterman.

Canada added another steal of one in the fourth before holding Norway to one on the fifth on a Norwegian power play.

Constantini and Mosaner are the reigning Olympic and world champions.

The husband-and-wife team of Peterman and Gallant has made three world championship appearances, highlighted by a silver in 2019.
