The suspect appeared to have committed suicide after the attack, police said
A gunman opened fire during a boys’ hockey game in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Monday, killing two people.
The shooting took place at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena during a matchup between Coventry/Johnston and Blackstone Valley Co-op.
Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said the attack appears to have been targeted and stemmed from a family dispute. She added that, after killing two individuals, the suspect died from what authorities believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
