Here’s a bit of irony for you: The outfit Gigi Hadid, who is from Los Angeles, just wore in Paris is one that both Parisian and L.A. girls are wearing en masse this summer—especially for dates. Los Angeles and Paris don’t have all that much in common, but what they do have is lots of stylish dressers. And although the aesthetics of the two cities are in stark contrast, the outfit its residents are favoring for date nights this summer is one in the same, and Hadid just wore it on a Parisian dinner date with Bradley Cooper.

The outfit formula is just about as easy as it gets. As far as date-night outfits go, it’s quite low-key, but certain details add a bit of flirtiness to the look. The first item is a white tank top, preferably fitted. The second is an A-line midi skirt, which adds a touch of romance to the outfit (Hadid’s was black, asymmetrical, and lace-trimmed). Lastly, the shoe of the summer: flip-flops. Yes, even French girls love flip-flops these days. And as for handbags, anything goes, but it doesn’t get much better than Hadid’s silk polka-dot Valentino bag.
