I've Tried the Lot—These Are the Charlotte Tilbury Products *Actually* Worth the Hype

Ask me about the best makeup brands on the market, and I’m bound to say Charlotte Tilbury. It’s amazing, really, considering the brand only launched in 2013. However, it has continued to disrupt the industry with its groundbreaking formulations and iconic “Pillow Talk” shade, and alongside its bestsellers (I’m looking at you, Magic Cream), there is now a huge range of products to suit your makeup goals.

Whilst I’m all for new makeup launches, more choice means more confusion over what to buy. That’s where I come in. As a beauty editor, makeup artist and Charlotte Tilbury connoisseur, I’ve built up quite the collection over the years, and I like to think I’m a bit of an expert about which launches are *actually* worth the hype.

Below, I’ve broken down the best Charlotte Tilbury products of all time, and created one of my favourite everyday, glowy makeup looks using my go-to picks. If you’re yet to try anything from the brand and don’t really know where to start, I highly recommend you keep scrolling…

1. Hollywood Flawless Filter

There are some things I treasure more than others in life. My dog, my fiancé…and Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter. As the name suggests, this stuff is like a glowy, blurring filter in a bottle. Simply swipe the large doe-foot applicator onto the skin, blend the product out with a brush, and prepare for your healthiest-looking complexion yet. I don’t remember what I did before using this product, but I can’t imagine my makeup routine without it now. On “no makeup” makeup days, I wear it alone with a little concealer, but on other days, I apply it underneath my foundation for that “lit-from-within” finish.

2. Beautiful Skin Foundation

Charlotte Tilbury has a few foundations on offer, but my ride-or-die formula has to be the Beautiful Skin Foundation (as you can tell from my very used bottle). For me, this ticks every single box. The lightweight formula is infused with hyaluronic acid, so it feels hydrating and adds a naturally dewy effect to the skin. The coverage is light to medium, but you can build it up if you want, too. I describe it as the ultimate “your skin but better” base product. However, if you do prefer more coverage and a matte finish, the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation (£40) is a great choice.

3. Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer

A relatively new launch from the brand, the Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer has somehow combined a lightweight formula with a high-coverage finish. Honestly, I don’t know how the brand has done it, but I’m certainly not complaining. I use the tiniest amount on my under-eyes and on any blemishes I might have, and the creamy concealer (thank you, hyaluronic acid and squalane) covers it all whilst still looking natural. Just be careful not to apply too much, as a little bit goes a long way.

4. Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder

I don’t use too much setting powder, but I do like to lock my under-eye concealer in place, and this is the product I reach for. Similar to the concealer above, it has a wonderfully blurring effect and adds a smooth, soft-focus finish to the skin. Plus, it never feels heavy or cakey. The slim packaging is great for throwing in your handbag on the go, and the mirror always comes in handy for touch-ups.

5. Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Spray

Although I don’t use lots of powder, one thing I’ll never leave the house without is setting spray, and this is my personal favourite. In fact, my skin practically laps it up. In true Charlotte Tilbury style, it’s super lightweight and packed with hydrating ingredients, amplifying your dewy makeup look whilst locking it in all day. Oh, and if you prefer a matte finish? There’s a version for that, too. Yes, Tilbury has thought of everything.

6. Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand

When I think of Charlotte Tilbury blushers, two products come to mind: the Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick (£32) and this. Whilst the newer blusher stick is amazing in its own right, I come back to the Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand time and time again. Perhaps it’s because Pillow Talk is quite possibly the perfect pink shade for everyday wear, or perhaps it’s because the easy-to-use wand delivers impressive pigment and staying power. Still, there’s something about this blush that I just can’t get enough of.

7. Beauty Light Wand

For a little bit of glow, I’m equally as obsessed with the Goldgasm Beauty Light Wand. It’s just the most incredible shimmer that makes my skin glow like never before. It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted, and I only tend to reach for this on nights out or when I’m on holiday, but every time I apply it, I’m reminded of how much I love it. It catches the light in such a stunning way, and the creamy formula blends like a dream.

8. Exaggereyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick

I used to use my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette (£47) all the time, and always got compliments on the pretty shades. However, these days I prefer a quick, easy makeup look in the morning, and never really have time to apply multiple shadows to the lid. Enter the Exaggereyes Easy Eyeshadow Stick. New from the brand, this eyeshadow stick makes doing your makeup so simple. The formula glides onto the lid, and all I do is blend it out with my fingertips for a polished look in seconds. I usually avoid eyeshadow sticks because I have quite oily lids, but when I pair this with my favourite eyeshadow primer, it lasts for ages. There are so many neutral shades on offer that I find it hard to pick, but I’m currently alternating between Mink and Ballet Quartz.

9. Exaggereyes Volume Mascara

I tend to skip mascara during the week, but on the weekends when I’m heading out for the evening, this is the formula I reach for. It won’t give you natural-looking, long, fluttery lashes, but it will add volume like never before. It’s the ultimate false-lash effect mascara that will completely transform your entire makeup look. Seriously, I get compliments every time I wear it.

10. Lip Cheat

I always found lip liners a bit…meh. Sure, they’re great for outlining the lips, but I never found one that truly bowled me over until I discovered this. It’s pigmented, long-lasting and so velvety that it creates a seamless lip look with minimal effort. Plus, I just really love the shades available. Pillow Talk is my go-to for every day (of course), but I love the darker browns for a ’90s lip look now and again.

11. Big Lip Plumpgasm

I found it hard to narrow it down to one lip product for this round-up, but if I had to choose, it would be Tilbury’s Big Lip Plumpgasm. Why, I hear you ask? It combines a wash of colour with a shiny finish and a plumping effect. It’s truly one of those do-it-all products that saves you from throwing ten million lipsticks and lip glosses into your handbag. It does tingle quite a lot on application due to the plumping effect, but it soon subsides, leaving you with the perfect pout.
