I’ve tried hundreds of face mists throughout my career as a beauty editor, but I’ve rarely been enchanted by any of them. That’s because most of them are simple hydrating spritzes. Sure, they feel nice and refreshing, but they rarely make a real difference in my skin. The only ones I can back with full beauty-editor approval are Rhode’s Glazing Mist, Naturium’s Barrier Bounce Mist, and most recently, U Beauty’s The Barrier Bioactive Mist. The first is an antioxidant-rich, glow-boosting formula. The second is incredibly moisturizing, and the third is a skin-protecting, biotech-derived dream.
Lately, though, I’ve been adding new face mists to my rotation at a fast rate. It took me a minute to realize it, but they all belong to the same category: Korean jelly mists. These innovative formulas aren’t the same as standard face mists; they have a bouncy, serum-like texture that, in my experience, tends to hydrate and plump the skin. They also play well with makeup—never pilling, creasing, or caking whether I spray them under or over it.
I was curious what sets these mists apart from other, standard ones, so I reached out to cosmetic chemist and founder of BeautyStat Ron Robinson. He’s developed countless beauty products throughout his career, including those in Rhode’s portfolio (NBD!). He told me Korean jelly mists are great for dry skin types or those who like a dewy, glowy finish. “These mists contain a blend of gums that work as gelling agents that form a hydrogel on skin that can work to create more lasting cushion and hydration on skin.” Translation? They’re like the face-mist equivalent of a hydrogel mask, moisturizing and plumping the skin with every spritz. Ahead, see eight of the best ones to incorporate into your routine.

The Best Korean Jelly Mists
Best Overall: Biodance Collagen Peptides Jelly Serum Mist

Remember how I said Korean jelly mists are basically the face-mist versions of hydrogel masks? I meant it. Biodance developed this as a companion product to its internet-viral Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask ($19). That mask is known for it’s skin-moisturizing and plumping powers, and the mist is no different. Marketed as a “sprayable hydrogel,” the thick, gel texture drenches the skin in collagen water and a 10-signal peptide complex for smooth skin, deep moisture, minimized pores, and glass-like shine. I use it on bare skin to boost its moisture and glow, and I also use it on top of makeup to set and refresh it. I love the way it makes my skin look fresh and bouncy.
Don’t miss Biodance’s Caviar PDRN Jelly Serum Mist ($17) either. It’s the face-mist version of the brand’s Rejuvenating Caviar PDRN Real Deep Mask ($19), and it infuses the skin with caviar water, caviar extract, and salmon PDRN for smoothing, balancing, and anti-aging effects.
Best Pore-Minimizing: Dr. Melaxin Cactox Pore Relief Jelly Serum Mist

For a skin-tightening and pore-minimizing effect, nothing comes close to Dr. Melaxin’s Cactox Pore Relief Jelly Serum Mist. It’s formulated with cactus extract, which instantly hydrates, soothes, and de-puffs the skin. There’s also pomegranate extract (controls sebum), caffeine (reduces puffiness), and adenosine (stimulates collagen), which is why it’s my number one recommendation for oily skin types. The best part? It offers an instant cooling effect, which is highly appreciated on hot, summer days or after sweaty workouts.
Best Glow-Boosting: The Face Shop Rice Water Ready Glowy Essence Jelly Mist

If you want a face mist that will deliver an intense glow to dull skin (much like the aforementioned Rhode Glazing Mist), then this is it. Spritz it onto your skin, ideally before makeup, and you’ll see what I mean. It leaves a true glass-like shine behind. I’m talking about a facial-level glow. Meanwhile, the peptide-, PHA-, and jojoba oil–packed formula will firm, exfoliate, and moisturize in a single step.
Best Brightening: Medicube Kojic Acid Turmeric Vita Jelly Mist Serum

This Korean jelly mist uses a trio of brightening ingredients: kojic acid, turmeric, and vitamin C. The first one helps fade discoloration, while the second two brighten dullness and provide potent antioxidant protection. Meanwhile, a trifecta of skin-soothing ingredients (allantoin, panthenol, and squalane) keep the skin in check—never red, stressed, or irritated. Just make sure you shake well before use. The bi-phase formula needs to be mixed for best results.
Don’t forget Medicube’s PDRN Pink Collagen Glow Jelly Mist Serum ($20) either. With an elite mix of PDRN, collagen, niacinamide, glutathione, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides, it helps firm and plump the skin, while imparting a dewy glow.
The Celeb Fave: Anua PDRN Collagen Glow Facial Serum Spray

Apparently, Kendall Jenner approves of Korean jelly mists, or one in particular. The Anua ambassador recently posted a picture of the brand’s PDRN Collagen Glow Facial Serum Spray on her Instagram Stories, captioning the post with “After-makeup refresh!” After looking into it, I can confirm the clinically proven formula is full of buzzy, skin-transforming ingredients—most notably hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, and PDRN. As with almost all other Korean jelly mists, expect deep moisture and a glass-like glow.
Dr. Althea Aqua Marine Jelly Mist

Behold: a hydrating, non-sticky, and skin-soothing masterpiece. Dr. Althea’s Aqua Marine Jelly Mist is packed with plant-based PDRN, a triple hyaluronic acid complex, and mineral-rich Ulleungdo deep sea water for intense, skin-quenching hydration. Shake the bottle to activate the jelly-to-water formula, spritz it onto the skin, and witness how it hydrates, plumps, and soothes stressed skin. Even though it has a radiant finish, it’s not greasy or tacky, which is why people with oily skin are sure to appreciate it.
Loops Dew Cloud Ultra Hydrating Korean Jelly Mist

If you’re in need of some serious skin-barrier repair, I can’t recommend Loops’ Dew Cloud Ultra Hydrated Korean Jelly Mist enough. It’s formulated with an effective mix of polyglutamic acid, ceramides, and snow mushroom. (The latter is a moisturizing, plumping, and antioxidant-rich powerhouse.) Thanks to a microfine mister, it strengthens the skin barrier without feeling heavy, oily, or tacky.
KrX Aesthetics Jelly Mist

Last but not least, we have to talk about KrX Aesthetics’ Jelly Mist. Formulated with ginseng flower, Centella asiatica, and ceramide NP, it brightens dullness, soothes irritation, and strengthens the skin barrier. Expect a true, jelly texture, and don’t be surprised if your skin looks all the plumper and bouncier because of it.
