I may be a fashion editor, but if I could choose any profession in the world, I’d be a tennis player. Now naturally I’m nowhere near skilled enough to be a pro but ever since I picked up a racquet when I was around 9 years old, I’ve become hooked on the sport. I love playing, I love watching, I love following the grand slams, I love the way I feel when I’m on the court, oh and of course, I love the tennis outfits too. For the last three years, I’ve been playing tennis weekly with a coach as well as a small group, so my tennis wardrobe has been something I’ve given more energy and thought to. There are certain brands and pieces I’ve taken to, and today I want to share some of my favorite styles that I reach for again and again (on and off the court), as well as the chicest tennis items I have my eye on.
If you love tennis as much as I do, or you’re just starting your tennis journey or perhaps are in need of some chic outfits to wear to a tennis open, then keep scrolling.
Tennis Separates

A versatile tank I mix and match with different tennis skirts and shorts weekly.

Every time I wear this pleated tennis skirt I get so many compliments. I love the feel of it.

Complete with a built-in shelf bra and removable cups, this tank offers the perfect amount of support and comfort.

Such a great skirt—I’m now eyeing the green sycamore color way.

A stretchy fabric and lightweight design (with a hint of basketball vibes) makes this a great performance tank.

I own this in navy and it’s incredibly chic and comfortable. They white is next on my list.

My Nike Dri-Fit tennis skirt gets used more than any other piece in my tennis wardrobe.

I can’t rave more about these shorts. They’re comfortable (they feature a lightweight liner), easy to move in, and have a cool retro look about them.

Lacoste never fails me with looks that serve. I love the subtle zip detail and bomber collar.

Tory Sport is new to my tennis rotation, and this is the piece I’m starting with. So versatile and chic.

I own this sports bra in various colors—it’s lightweight, supportive and crazy comfortable.

I can’t tell you how often I wear these track pants—more off the court than on!
Tennis Dresses

I love the fact this has a built-in shelf bra with removable pads, and is so sleek and stretchy.

At the top of my wish list. I love the retro-chic look of this new dress by L’Agence.

I’ve spotted this chic polo dress on some of my favorite fashion people and just had to try it for myself.

It doesn’t take much convincing when there’s a hidden bodysuit underneath so you can feel supported and covered while playing.

When Emma Navarro does a collab with FP Movement, amazing things happen! How pretty is this dress?
