Call me biased, but New York Fashion Week has some of the best street style on the fashion calendar, rivaling even Paris and Milan. What makes it so special is the deeply personal way people dress and the interesting brands they wear to shows throughout the week. Rarely will you spot someone wearing a head-to-toe runway look unless they’re a celebrity guest or ambassador, and even if a showgoer is wearing the brand they’re attending a show for, they’ve probably mixed it in with their own pieces. Because of this, NYFW street style always makes me want to shop, as I find It items styled in new, interesting ways. I’m here today to share the most exciting ones I spotted up close.
From footwear—both flat and heeled—to handbags and outerwear, all of the most-wanted pieces worn to shows during NYFW are just a scroll away. Think Chanel by Matthieu Blazy totes and Tory Burch pumps, as well as Conner Ives’s iconic fur-trimmed robe coat and Altuzarra’s cool girl–favorite scarf top. The second I saw this asymmetric blouse on the runway at Kallmeyer’s F/W 26 show last February, I knew it’d be an It item for the season once it hit stores. I was right. Jenna Lyons, Chloe Malle, and Tessa Thompson are a few of the stylish people who’ve worn it so far.
Tory Burch Chain Pumps
Finally, Tory Burch’s Runway Chain Pumps left their mark on New York City, showing up in this gorgeous red-leather color, as well as in a muted beige. I’d take any style, really. They’re all perfect.
Dries Van Noten Floral-Jacquard Pants
We talk about fun skirts, tops, and jackets all the time. Shoes, too. But pants are rarely considered “fun.” That is, unless they’re by Dries Van Noten—then, they’re always a good time.

Whether you pick a bright color or go muted à la Alex Consani outside of a NYFW show, you can’t go wrong with a Polo Ralph Lauren windbreaker. It’s easy to style, practical, and timeless.

There are certain items that when you see them on the runway, you just know they’re going to become an instant hit. Altuzarra’s green scarf top is one such item. It’s chic, easy, and cool—a trifecta if I’ve ever heard of one.

GiaBorghini’s Renata Feather Pumps are one of those IYKYK items that only the really cool fashion people know about (and are already wearing). They’re from the Opera Capsule, which is full of elegant, sophisticated footwear made to wear to the theater.
Tory Burch Flower Tank Top
Summer’s obsession with flower brooches—and Tory Burch’s flower-brooch tank top, in particular—appears to be continuing into fall. Instead of flouncy skirts, just wear yours with a pair of low-rise bootcut jeans and flats for a cool transitional look.

The Small Shopping Bag was one of many items by the French fashion house that I spotted on the streets of New York, with other pieces including dipped-toe pumps, leopard-print jackets, and more.
Conner Ives Demi Couture Robe
This silk robe coat by Conner Ives is at the top of every cool fashion person’s fall wish list right now. I’ve even heard people talk about splitting the price of one like a South of France time-share. Hell, who am I kidding? I’d go in on one.
