Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard left Friday’s game against the Denver Nuggets after taking an elbow to the face and did not return.
The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter when Leonard’s teammate Serge Ibaka went for a rebound but accidentally caught Leonard in the face with his elbow. Leonard remained down on the court for several minutes before leaving the game on his own while holding his face.
Leonard had 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds in 30 minutes of action.
