The Best High-Street Buys We've Seen on Instagram This February

The team at Who What Wear UK prides itself on uncovering cult items before they’ve even made it off the production line. We’re keen, to say the least, and a great portion of our time is spent documenting and analysing the Instagram posts of the thousands of cool women we follow on Instagram for high-street sightings. In fact, we have WhatsApp groups and Slack channels dedicated to these affordably priced power pieces, and we want to update you on them as soon as possible (aka after we’ve bought our faves).

Our skills are so attuned that more often than not, we’ll have an inkling about a certain piece before it has hit the big time. Sometimes, you’ll find a flurry of brand-specific action due to a paid activation or natural desire to wear a particular thing or label. But other times, it’ll be a slow and steady accumulation of saved posts that start to make a trend clear to me—especially when a vast array of influencers start favouring the very same items over a longer period of time. Either way, please trust that we’re on it.

Right now, there are some beautiful items making a strong bid for inclusion in this gallery. From timeless Zara jackets to a & Other Stories knit that looks way beyond its high-street price tag, keep reading to see my picks of influencers wearing the latest high-street items.

Style Notes: I have a similar version of this top in black, and it’s so good for WFH polish.

Style Notes: You can’t not feel happy when you look at this rainbow dress by Never Fully Dressed.

Style Notes: We’ll be waiting this ASOS puffer while we (not so) patiently wait for spring.

Style Notes: Adapt these coller-than-thou flares for the summer with a white tee and chunky sliders.

Style Notes: There’s nothing that quite says classic than a Breton knit, especially when worn with black trousers a la Jessica Skye.

Style notes: Hannah Lewis keeps the loungewear train going with this chic tonal look from Arket. Love the addition of a smarter tote, too.

Style Notes: Adapt your puffer for the spring with a lightweight quilted iteration. Tanice’s is now sold out, but you can still get the style in blue and black.

Style Notes: I’ve been eyeing this Stories knit for a while, and Enis might just convince me to take the plunge.

Style Notes: A classic pair of tailored trousers will be a wardrobe staple for many years to come.

Style Notes: Ellie from Slip into Style makes a good case for tonal winter dressing with this shearling jacket-and-joggers combo.

Style Notes: House of Sunny is so good for colourful, throwback pieces such as this butter yellow shirt dress.

Style Notes: Alexis Foreman makes this Jigsaw kimono jacket look so premium with colour-match trousers and a roll neck.

Style Notes: This H&M V-neck is perfect for wintery layering, as seen on Rachael Clifton.

Style Notes: A puffer is all we want to wear when the mercury plummets, and this Emma Willis x Next iteration ticks all the boxes.
