Watch live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ starting at 1:30 p.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. PT.
The Blue Jays dropped Friday’s series opener 7-1 before flipping the script to win by an identical score Saturday. Bo Bichette hit his team-leading 11th home run and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. also went deep while starting pitcher Jose Berrios allowed one unearned run on two hits and three walks over 7.2 innings.
The Blue Jays improved to a 41-35 record, 25-15 at home, and remain three games back of the New York Yankees for the division lead.
It was the ninth loss in 10 games for the White Sox, who are last in the American League with a 24-53 record and are 8-32 on the road.
Bassit (7-3, 3.75 ERA) pitched a no-decision in his most recent start against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 36-year-old right-hander allowed three runs on six hits with one walk and six strikeouts over six innings of work as the Blue Jays rallied in the ninth to win 5-4.
The White Sox will counter with Adrian Houser on the mound. The 32-year-old right-hander holds a 2-2 record and 2.15 ERA this season.
Houser, who signed as a free agent with the team on May 20, was reinstated from the paternity list ahead of Sunday’s game. Left-hander Jacob Palisch was optioned to class AA Birmingham.
After wrapping up their series against the White Sox, the Blue Jays have a day off before they hit the road to face the Cleveland Guardians for a three-game set starting Tuesday.
