Blue Jays blow four-run lead, fall to Dodgers in 10th inning

Bo Bichette shook off his slump with a single, a double and a two-run homer but the Toronto Blue Jays ultimately fell 8-7 to the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday night.

After the Blue Jays opened the scoring at the top of the first, a solo home run from Freddie Freeman of Chris Bassitt evened the score.

Bichette, who had not homered since July 15th, hit a no-doubter to left field for his second hit of the game to bring in two runs and give the Blue Jays the lead once more. Bichette finished the game just one triple short of a cycle.

Alejandro Kirk drilled an RBI double at the top of the eighth that brought Matt Chapman in to score, and JD Martinez hit a clutch solo homer to bring the Dodgers within one.

The Blue Jays then padded their lead by four with a bases-clearing double from Danny Jansen in the ninth, but the Dodgers managed to tie things up 7-7 and force extra innings.

The Dodgers secured their comeback victory with a walk-off double in the 10th after a fly ball from James Outman allowed Chris Taylor to score.

Toronto and Los Angeles close out their three-game series Thursday. Catch the game at 4:10 p.m. ET/1:10 p.m on Sportsnet and SN NOW.
