Blue Jays-Guardians enter rain delay in bottom of third

The Toronto Blue Jays and Guardians have entered a rain delay during the bottom of the third inning of Sunday’s game in Cleveland.

The Blue Jays were holding on to a 3-2 lead when play was suspended.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a two-run homer for the Blue Jays in the first with Spencer Horwitz adding a solo homer in the top of the third that made it 3-1.

The Guardians’ Daniel Schneemann singled with the bases loaded in the bottom of the inning to drive home Jose Ramirez as the rain started pouring and out came the tarps.

Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi gave up two runs on eight hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
