A foot injury is not slowing down Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
The first baseman is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the New York Mets.
Guerrero was seen limping off the field after fouling multiple balls off his foot in the sixth inning of Monday’s loss to the Mets. The 25-year-old was the DH Monday but remained in the game to take his final at-bat in the eighth inning.
After the game, manager John Schneider said x-rays on Guerrero’s foot didn’t show any signs of a fracture.
“We’ll see how he feels tomorrow,” Schneider added.
Guerrero, who owns a team-leading 28 home runs and 94 RBI, went 0-for-3 Monday against the Mets with one walk and two strikeouts.
