The Toronto Blue Jays will be without the services of shortstop Bo Bichette yet again as they wrap up a three-game set against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday.
It’ll be the second consecutive game for the Jays without Bichette as he deals with right-calf soreness.
Through 66 games played this season, the 26-year-old is batting .237 with an OPS of .629 including 61 hits, 28 RBIs and 22 runs. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will start in Bichette’s place at shortstop.
Meanwhile, Toronto will see the return of Davis Schneider after he was given the day off in their 5-0 win on Saturday. He’ll slot back into left field and bat second in the lineup.
Schneider is sporting a .230 batting average with an OPS of .747 for 45 hits, 33 RBIs and 29 runs through 63 games played.
The Blue Jays, with Jose Berrios on the mound, will look to win their first series against a team above .500 in nearly two months at 1:37 p.m. ET. Catch all the action against the Guardians on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
