The Atlanta Braves scored four runs in the fifth inning and survived a late push from L.A. in the ninth to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 in Game 2 and take a 2-0 National League Championship Series lead on Tuesday.
The Braves also drew four walks in that same inning, and the score could’ve been even more lopsided had Cody Bellinger not made a spectacular catch for the Dodgers. Even so, the damage proved too great to be overcome.
The two clubs will meet for Game 3 on Wednesday night.
More to come.
