The Buffalo Sabres have won the No. 1 overall pick in Wednesday’s 2021 NHL Draft Lottery.
The Sabres came into the lottery with the best shot at the top selection (16.6 per cent), followed by the Anaheim Ducks (12.1 per cent), Seattle Kraken (10.3 per cent), New Jersey Devils (10. 3 per cent) and Columbus Blue Jackets (8.5 per cent).
Among Canadian teams, the Vancouver Canucks will select ninth, the Ottawa Senators are at No. 10 and the Calgary Flames will pick 12th.
