Jonathan David scored in the 57th minute and Canada held on to beat Costa Rica 1-0 in a crucial Concacaf World Cup qualifying match.
With the win, Canada stayed undefeated with a 3-4-0 record and remains in the top three of the table halfway through the Octagonal competition. The top three teams in the tournament automatically qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
