Canada drawn in Group F with Belgium, Morocco, Croatia at World Cup

Canada has been drawn into Group F with Belgium, Morocco and Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The draw was held Friday in Qatar.

Canada was the final team drawn out of the final Pot — Pot 4.

But the second-last team, Ghana, could not be in Group F because it comes from the same confederation as Morocco. So Ghana went to Group H with Canada going to F.

Canada’s first game will be Nov. 23 against Belgium, ranked second in the world. Belgium finished third at the 2018 World Cup.

World No. 38 Canada faces No. 16 Croatia on Nov. 27 and No. 24 Morocco on Dec. 1.
