The Montreal Canadiens are heading back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Montreal punched its ticket to the post-season despite a 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. The Canadiens needed a single point from the game to guarantee their spot in the tournament.
With the result, the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks have been eliminated from playoff contention and all 16 playoff teams have been set.
