Canadiens’ Drouin taking indefinite leave of absence for personal reasons

Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team for personal reasons.

The Canadiens have placed Drouin, 26, on long-term injured reserve.

Drouin hasn’t played since a 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on April 21.

The Ste-Agathe, Que., native has two goals and 23 points in 44 games for the Canadiens this season while averaging 16:05 of ice time.
