The Montreal Canadiens have cancelled head coach Dominique Ducharme’s Friday press conference due to irregularities in his COVID-19 test.
Ducharme has been sent home to isolate as the team awaits results on further testing.
The 48-year-old Ducharme has received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Earlier this month, Colorado Avalanche coach Jared Bednar also experienced “irregularities” with his COVID-19 tests ahead of Game 6 of their second-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Bednar was eventually cleared to coach following further tests.
The Canadiens host the Golden Knights on Friday night in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup semifinal with the series knotted at one apiece.
