Vancouver Canucks goalie Arturs Silovs will make his third start in a row in Game 6 against the Nashville Predators on Friday night.
Silovs replaced Casey DeSmith as starter in Game 4 after the latter goalie suffered a lower-body injury. DeSmith is dressing as the backup.
Vancouver has started three different goalies in the series, each of whom has earned a win, giving the Canucks a 3-2 series lead.
All-star Thatcher Demko was in net for Vancouver in Game 1, but sustained a lower-body injury and is currently week to week. He was replaced by DeSmith, who went 1-1-0 with a 2.02 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage in Games 2 and 3 before going down himself.
Silovs was the losing goalie in a 2-1 defeat in Game 5 after he was net for a 4-3 overtime win in Game 4.
If the Canucks come out with a win, it’ll be their first playoff series win since the 2020 COVID bubble, and their first non-bubble series win since 2011.
The winner of the series will face the Edmonton Oilers in the second round.
